My paintings explore the interplay of light, color, and gesture in scenes drawn from everyday life. Working primarily in gouache and acrylic, I build compositions through layered brushwork, visible mark-making, and a broad, vibrant palette that allows color relationships to do the expressive work. I’m interested in how formal choices shape emotional tone. I aim for work that feels observational but not photographic, composed but not overly resolved.
